Tea for Trudy Truly Terrific

Last Sunday, November 15 our friend Linda hosted a “Tea for Trudy” get-together/fundraiser on behalf of the Zaja campaign. A terrific bunch of ladies (and one gentleman) gathered to share news, advice and resources. New friendships were forged, old ones were renewed, and papers were folded! (Thanks to the folks who stayed to help with the project.)  It was especially gratifying that a couple of friends who are themselves running for office took the time to join us: Michelle Mussman, a newcomer who is running for Illinois’56th legislative district (Schaumburg and surrounding area) and Nancy Shepherdson, who’s up for another  term as the State Central Committeewoman for the 8th Congressional District (hope I got that title right).  A couple of days later, Trudy noted, several of the Tea guests also came to the Health Care for America Now rally in downtown Chicago. It is deeply encouraging to know all these committed, active people who believe in Trudy’s candidacy.
